Amelia Santoso, B.Mus., M.Mus.

AmeliaCodarts12061411.jpgBorn in Jakarta, Indonesia, Amelia began her piano lesson at the age of five with Mrs. Herligianti Djuhadi. Later on she studied with Mrs. Sofia N. Lubis and Mrs. Mutia Hartono at Yayasan Musik Jakarta until she finished the Pre-Conservatory program. In September 2004 she began her study at Codarts Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (formerly Rotterdams Conservatorium) with professor Stéphane De May.
 
She completed her Bachelor degree of Piano Performance in 2009 then received the prestigious Nuffic Huygens scholarship at full tuition to continue the Master program. She got her diploma in June 2011.Afterwards she received the scholarship from Festival d’Anniviers in Grimentz, Switzerland and started her second master study with professor Jacqueline Lecarte at Institut Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie in Namur, Belgium.
 
Amelia has taughtthe piano class in Codarts as assistant of professor Stéphane De Maysince 2010. In 2014 she began to work as co-repetitor in the same institution for the vocal class of professor Frans Huijts. Outside the conservatorium, she was the pianist at Rudolf Steiner College Rotterdam, Menorah choir in Gouda, and Zangschool Utrecht.
 
As soloist and chamber musician she actively gives performances in various countriesincluding concert tour with Rotterdam Ensemble in Malta, an invitation as a guest pianist and coach during the 34th edition of Orlando Festival, and chamber musicrecitals in Switzerland, South Korea, the Netherlands, Belgium and Tokyo.
